I’m an aspiring journalist (college student) who is also a New York sports fan. I created a blog because it’s a public forum for my opinions. You can’t always keep it real when writing for a site or publication, but I can here – although I don’t think I’m allowed to be explicit on WordPress. But you’ll get to read some of my work and a lot of my sports-related thoughts. And I’ve never been wrong in my life. You’ll read it and you will love it!

What’s up man- my name is Steve and I own a Sports Marketing firm in LA. Let me say that I really like your blog and that’s why I’m contacting you about this.

I’m working with Carmelo Anthony and his agency, BDA Sports, on promoting his Myspace page. I’m not trying to buy ads or anything, I’m just trying to let people know about his site. It is a good page and there are a lot of good features on there for fans. I was wondering if you would be interested in doing a write-up on it or at least posting a link because I think your readers might be interested in checking it out- whether they like Melo or not (and I know you’re from NY so chances are they don’t). Anyway, let me know if you’re interested. Thanks for your time.

    All the best,

A few questions from a blog idiot

How do you keep the spammers from eating you alive? i\’ve seen blogs with nothing but spam postings.

How do you keep some left wing extremist from posting racist or defamatory rhetoric? and if you cant stop them, what are you legally liabel when they do?

can viruses be posted to blogs?

Like I said in the e-mail, switch to WordPress. They’ve got an automatic spam blocker.

I visited your sports blog Best Damn Sports Blog at https://sjh42.wordpress.com/. You have really great articles and I’m glad I found your site.

I would like to know if you’re accepting guest blog posts, I’d like to send you an original blog entry on basketball which I think would fit nicely with your site. I’m doing this for free but would only require 1 backlink in the article to my site.

Please let me know if you’re interested in publishing this basketball blog entry so I can send it to you for publication soon.

    Thank you

Hi, I came across your site and wasn’t able to get an email address to contact you. Would you please consider adding a link to my website on your page. We are happy to offer you a 10% discount to our Online Store if you do so. Please email me back and I would be happy to give you our link.

I’m interested in putting together a website of sports blogs/reports/research. My idea would be to combine a bunch of bloggers together onto one site. Most of the people would be part-time writers that would write about the playoffs or draft or preseason predictions of the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, etc. I’m also interested in gathering together a few writers who would be more “full” time. I’m not interested in an article a day, but maybe a few a week kind of deal.

Would you have an interest in this type of site? I checked out your site and it would be similar to that. We could even possibly have your articles off of your wordpress go to my site, if you’re interested. You could write an the same article for both sites, or possibly convert people to just go to my site after awhile for your posts. It is up to you.

This idea would take place in another month or so, if you have an interest. Do you know of other sports-related bloggers?
